With deep sorrow, we have to announce that on March 23, 2025, Nikola Landzhev, a dear friend and a remarkable figure in the caving community of Bulgaria, passed away.
Having gained a lot of experience and knowledge through his caving, climbing and cave rescue practice, he had the gift of passing them on to generations of Bulgarian cavers. Since the dawn of the SRT, he introduced a number of technical innovations in caving and cave rescue equipment. Later he founded the family company Landjoff, which produces under this brand the famous caving suits and other equipment for cavers (and beyond). He generously supported numerous cave explorations and other related activities. In recent years, he was dedicated to the exploration of of the karst in Ponor Mountain together with PK Iskar, and despite his health problems he personally participated in this exhaustive work.
